From longtime team members who have spent decades at Charlie’s to those who are carrying the family legacy into a new generation, our people bring experience, knowledge, and a genuine commitment to taking care of our customers. Get to know the dedicated team behind Charlie’s Tire Center and the people who work hard every day to keep our community safely on the road.
For Hannah Souther, Charlie’s Tire Center has always been more than a place of business—it’s part of her family and her story. As Charlie’s granddaughter and Larry’s daughter, Hannah grew up around the shop and has been connected to the business for as long as she can remember. Today, she proudly carries that family legacy forward as General Manager.
Before returning to the family business, Hannah spent 10 years as an elementary school teacher and seven years as a BHS cheerleading coach. Her experience working with students, families, and her community has shaped her passion for leadership, service, and making a positive impact on the people around her.
Hannah is proud to be part of a business that has deep roots in the community and is committed to continuing the tradition of personal service and care that Charlie’s Tire Center is known for.
Outside of work, Hannah enjoys hiking, hunting, fishing, crafting, and spending time with her family.
Joe Merrill brings 20 years of experience in parts and service advising to the Charlie’s Tire Center team. He also brings a passion for performance vehicles, with 15 years of experience building drag cars and Mopar projects. His combination of automotive knowledge and hands-on experience gives him a well-rounded understanding of the industry and the needs of our customers.
A Transylvania County local, Joe joined Charlie’s Tire Center in December 2025 and quickly became a valued member of the team. As Assistant Manager, he enjoys helping customers find the right solutions while supporting the team and contributing to the high level of service Charlie’s customers have come to expect.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys spending time with his family. They enjoy bow shooting together, and Joe also gives back to the community by coaching Little League softball.
For Kaz Galloway, Charlie’s Tire Center has been part of his life from the very beginning. As Charlie’s grandson and Larry’s oldest son, Kaz grew up around the business and has spent more than 27 years working at Charlie’s Tire Center. His extensive experience and deep knowledge of the shop make him an important part of the team and a trusted resource for customers and technicians alike.
As Service Advisor and Shop Foreman, Kaz combines his years of hands-on experience with a commitment to helping customers receive quality, dependable service. His long history with Charlie’s gives him a unique connection to the business and the community it serves.
Outside of the shop, Kaz enjoys following sports and spending quality time with his family.
Matthew Curtis brings extensive experience in the automotive parts industry to his role as Service Manager at Charlie’s Tire Center. Before joining the team in August 2023, Matthew spent 11 years working in aftermarket auto parts sales with Auto Plus, Advance Auto, and O’Reilly Auto Parts. His background has given him valuable knowledge of automotive parts, service, and customer care.
As Service Manager, Matthew is committed to supporting his team and helping customers receive knowledgeable, dependable service. A Transylvania County local, he enjoys being part of a business that serves the community he calls home.
Outside of work, Matthew enjoys spending time with his family and watching his children play sports. He also gives back to the community by serving as an umpire for Transylvania Little League.
Chad Cison grew up working on hot rods alongside his family, developing a passion for automobiles and hands-on work from an early age. He later gained valuable automotive experience working for Advance Auto before joining the Charlie’s Tire Center team in June 2026.
As a Service Advisor, Chad enjoys putting his automotive knowledge and customer service experience to work helping customers understand their vehicle’s needs. As a Transylvania County local, he values the opportunity to serve the community he calls home.
Outside of work, Chad enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on his kids as they participate in sports.
Pam Riddle joined the Charlie’s Tire Center team in November 2024 and brings a friendly, customer-focused approach to her role at the front counter. As a Service Advisor, Pam enjoys helping customers and making sure they feel welcomed, informed, and taken care of throughout their experience at Charlie’s.
A Transylvania County local, Pam is proud to be part of a team that has such deep roots in the community. She enjoys getting to know customers and being part of the relationships that make Charlie’s Tire Center a trusted local business.
Outside of work, Pam enjoys camping and spending time outdoors with her family.
Ashley Cison joined Charlie’s Tire Center in July 2026, bringing a background in early childhood education and a natural passion for helping people to her role at the front counter. Her experience working with children and families has helped her develop strong communication and customer service skills that she brings to every interaction.
As a Transylvania County local, Ashley enjoys being part of a team that serves the community she calls home. She is committed to making customers feel welcomed and cared for throughout their experience at Charlie’s Tire Center.
